At the recent Annual General Meeting for the HBUA, two individuals were recognized for their outstanding 2014 seasons.
Sean Manning was named the Dennis Aldridge HBUA Junior Umpire of the Year, while John Doyle was named the Dennis Aldridge HBUA Senior Umpire of the Year.
The Dennis Aldridge Umpire of the Year Awards are presented to individuals who consistently demonstrate outstanding work on the diamond, as well as behind the scenes promoting the values and beliefs of the HBUA. Level 1 and 2 umpires are considered for the Junior award, while Level 3, 4, and 5 umpires are considered for the Senior award. Dennis Aldridge is a former umpire who passed away in 2006 who, year after year, exemplified the true spirit of the HBUA.
