We strongly advocate for the right-foot crossover technique in order to view a pickoff at 1B. Should a rundown develop between 1B and 2B, the plate umpire shall move to a position behind 1B in foul territory, and will be responsible for any play back into 1B on the runner once they enter the rundown.
