Umpire Workshops

Have you ever thought about umpiring? Do you love baseball, but like some of us, are terrible at playing it? Do you want to give back to the baseball community? If you answered yes to any of these, and you’d like to learn more about umpiring, the Hamilton District Baseball Association and the Hamilton Umpire Baseball Association are hosting 3 FREE workshops for new and newer umpires. All we ask is that you email info@hdba.ca indicating who’s attending and which workshop.

This is a great relaxed environment to learn more about umpiring before actually requiring to get registered in order to umpire during this year’s season.

We’d love to see you out!

Umpire Registration (2024)

Spring is almost here! Brush off the dust, break out the Febreeze, and get that equipment ready, because umpire registration is now open on the OBA OnDeck App! New umpires will need to create an OnDeck profile.

Umpires hoping to work for the HBUA this year must be registered and complete the appropriate training. Hamilton is hosting a Level 1 & 2 Clinic on April 27th at Bishop Tonnos High School. Make sure to register for a clinic in the OnDeck App.

For Level 3 umpires, there is no Super Clinic this year, so all of the training and certification required can be found in the OnDeck App.

You can find more detailed information on the OBA’s website. We look forward to seeing everyone out on the diamonds soon. Baseball can’t come back soon enough!
