CBUC to Host Two Ontario Clinics During 2018-19 Off-Season

Hello all,

Greetings from Reading, PA. As you may have heard, last off-season, Steven Jaschinski and I, along with our other three Minor League umpires from Ontario (along with a few extra helping hands), founded the Canadian Baseball Umpire Camp and held a two-day clinic in February of this year in Oakville. It was a huge success, with 71 umpires attending from all over Ontario, plus two from Quebec, and three from Latin America!

This year, I am very pleased to say that we are hosting two clinics for umpires of all experience. We have added a dedicated three-umpire system training session to be held October 20 & 21 at King’s Christian Collegiate in Oakville. Our Advanced Training Course will also be returning, to be held February 8-10, 2019, also in Oakville. We expect great participation numbers for each course and we will be expanding our staff as well. Do not be surprised if you run into at least one Major League umpire at each clinic.

Registration for the three-umpire camp opened today and we have a special early-bird rate available. Registration for our winter course will open later this summer. In the meantime, I invite you to check out our website, cbuc.ca, and follow us on our social media accounts, linked below, to stay up to date on all of the latest news and information.
